University policy requires departmental and collegiate approval for all faculty members who assign educational materials that they themselves have created in courses they will also teach.
Each unit should have on file the University Policy on the Use of Educational Materials to use as a guideline for the sale of educational materials which personally benefits a faculty or staff member.
All such approvals must be granted in writing using the Self-Authored Materials Permission form prior to ordering the materials. The completed form should be sent to Barbara Schwab in the Office of Undergraduate Education in room 115 Johnston Hall.
